The Keys to Facilitation
It’s a 50-minute lunch and learn intro to key group facilitation elements.
WHAT’S THE INTENTION?
This is a short, interactive talk that describes some of the basic tools and skills of group facilitation and explores some insights into group dynamics that can make the facilitation role less daunting.
Facilitating a group session is a complex task that requires lots of various people-skills and some knowledge of facilitation tools and protocols. For those who are the relatively new to the job, the question of ‘where do I start?‘ can be overwhelming. Additionally, for those who already see themselves as facilitators, there can be some helpful new concepts that make the psychological workload that little bit lighter.
The purpose of this lunch and learn is to convey some ideas (insights, tools, steers and tips) that can be early steps on the ladder to increased facilitation competence.
