Resilience Workshop
sharing the tools to deal with those difficult days
WHAT’S THE INTENTION?
To create a space to learn new skills for self care, and new approaches for coping with life’s challenges: e.g. dealing with one of those days.
WHY ARE WE DOING THAT?
Everyone experiences low moods (brought on by stresses, worries, pressures, expectations, loneliness etc.). Life and work can be stressful: we can all benefit from learning to surf the waves.
WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS?
- Added bounce – confidence in the face of adversity
- Increased courage – fight, flight or freeze alternatives
- Greater connection – ability to foster others’ support
- Improved creativity – increases cognitive functioning
- A sense of calm and control – feeling gently empowered
WHO’S IT FOR?
Anybody over 13 years of age.
HOW DOES IT WORK?
Through activities and conversations exploring:
- Emotions, states, and stressors in life.
- The value and importance of self-care.
- Discussions to identify stress indicators.
- Sharing of practical approaches and successful tricks for dealing with triggers.
- Challenging our habitual patterns, growing.
Lead with a gentle and warm, yet strong style to encourage solidarity, listening and acceptance.
